Digital x-rays are safe and lower dose than film x-rays. Digital x-rays provide immediate images for detailed diagnosis. They are used to find cavities, and examine roots and bony structures around the tooth. In addition, they are used in children to see the health of developing teeth.
Root canal therapy is treatment done to the inside of the tooth. This is necessary when the pulp becomes inflamed or infected from deep decay, repeated dental procedures on the tooth, faulty crowns, trauma or a crack or chip in the tooth.
